MacOS Server, formerly named Mac OS X Server and OS X Server, is a discontinued, stand-alone server operating system by Apple Inc. It is also the name of its replacement software, an operating system addition, for macOS that provides additional server programs along with management and administration tools for iOS and macOS. Prior to version 10.7, Mac OS X Server was a separate but similar Unix server. Included in the Mac operating system. Supports smart folders and robust filters. Also, Topicdesk.com has excellent tutorials including one for tuning postfix and one for Making Virtual Mail Users in OS X 10.4/10.5 Server, but the latter hasn't been updated for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Server yet and I haven't checked to see if Apple has improved that area of their Mail.

macOS Server lets you set up and manage multiple Mac computers and iOS devices, right from your Mac. And it's so simple to use, you don't need an IT department.

Apple Mail is the default email client that comes with every Mac using OS X 10.0 or later. This guide will show you how to configure your Apple Mail application to access email for your Media Temple server. This article is primarily for Mail version 10.2 on Sierra (OSX 10.12.32).
